New to Recovery Route?
If medical care or healing is part of why you're coming to Korea, you'll find plenty here that's worth your time.
We'll share the wellness places you can visit while you restore body and mind in Korea, along with the information you need along the way.

Why rest outside the city?
Most medical care in Korea happens in cities. Like cities anywhere, they are bright, fast, crowded and always awake. But when you truly need rest, an unhurried, quiet place often does more for you than the glamour of a city.
Just two or three hours from the big cities where you receive care, there are quiet forests and coasts, lakes, temples and hot springs. Recovery Route groups them into five ways of resting: forest, sea, stillness, meditation and hot springs. Each route keeps to the pace of someone who needs rest and has no reason to hurry.
These unhurried routes aren't for everyone. If your schedule in Korea is tight, if you're in the early days of recovery after treatment, or if you'd rather stay close to your clinic, staying in the city may be the better choice.
How to use this site

How many days you can stay, how long recovery from your procedure takes, whether you're here for a health screening, or whether you've come with someone who is being treated.
Choose a route you like.
Depending on your purpose, it's worth checking the walking distance at each place, whether you'll need somewhere to sit and rest, and the travel time from the city.
Check before you leave.
How to get there, the season, and when to stop and contact your clinic — you'll find all of this on the site.
